In her piece in The Advocate, a legal periodical published by the Vancouver Bar Association, Farris associate Yun Li-Reilly discusses issues of online privacy, especially as it relates to children, the right to be forgotten and a different perspective on how “forgetting” might enhance freedom of expression. In this article, Yun Li-Reilly coins the “Mr. Potato Head Phenomenon” and “Re-Assemblage Error”, whereby third parties may misconstrue the identity of an Internet user as a result of the Internet’s perfect memory.
