General Accountability

Responsible for all aspects of managing a busy general litigation practice. Establishes and maintains organizational systems to manage paper-flow; client contact; drafting and filing documents; billing and administrative tasks.

Primary Responsibities

  • Monitor emails for urgency, sensitivity and timelines
  • Daily correspondence, document preparation, dicta-typing
  • File preparation, organization and management
  • Maintain BF system
  • Draft timesheets, post time entries, billings, collections
  • Communicate directly with clients, court reporters, experts and opposing counsel
  • Book appointments, court and discovery dates and communicate with court registries
  • Organize and assemble pleadings binders, application records, books of authorities, lists of documents, appeal records and appeal books
  • Obtain and index cases from QuickLaw and other sources

General Accountability

The Corporate/Commercial LAA will support the Partner with an exceptionally busy practice by taking ownership for managing client and file information; establishing and maintaining organizational systems to manage paper-flow; direct client contact; researching and reviewing documents; document production; billing, filing, and other administrative tasks.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Project management for the practice including prioritizing daily tasks, maintaining a Bring Forward system, scheduling meetings, etc.

Qualifications
